ROW THE AGGIE SPIRIT

The 2025 SIRA team.

Texas A&M Crew is the official co-ed rowing team for Texas A&M. We are apart of the Sport Clubs association and compete across Texas, Oklahoma and Tennessee. We represent the university with pride, and work hard at what we do. Even if you have never touched an oar before, TAMU Crew may be for you! Many of our members have joined with zero prior experience, and have now found their passion! Texas A&M Crew is a great way to get in shape, meet your new best friends and find a community of Aggies that look out for one another.

For Fall of 2025, we are recruiting both new rowers and coxswains. Be sure to visit both the “Events” tab and the “Join” tab for more information. We can’t wait to meet you!

It all started when…

Texas A&M Crew was established in 2001 by Greg Wood. After finally acquiring the financial help he needed from the University, he and a few other founding members drove across the country to purchase our first boat, an old wooden Pocock. Because of the difficulties associated with starting a team, the crew did not race their first year. The following year, the team made its debut at the 2002 Head of the Colorado regatta in Austin, TX. It is there that they took the gold in the Mixed 8..
