A&M Crew is a competitive sport club that competes across Texas, Oklahoma and Tennessee. Typical week for new members would include 2 water practices a week and 2 “erg” (rowing machine) practices per week. Practices are typically 6-8AM and 6-8PM. We work with individual to ensure school/work schedules are not interfered with. We welcome people of all athletic backgrounds- no experience necessary to join. A&M Crew expects all members to respect all coxswains, rowers, coaches and race officials, regardless of their background.

Learn to Rows: **You need an approved AOR to attend.

All Learn to Rows are at Lake Bryan

August 29th, 9-11am

August 30th, 5-7pm

September 11th, 6-8pm

September 12th, 3-5pm

Applications due: September 13th, 7pm

**In order to attend a Learn to Row, you need to have an Assumption of Risk (AOR) filled out. To do so:

  1. Go to https://sportclubs.tamu.edu/

  2. Make sure you are logged in with your TAMU email

  3. Under the “AGREEMENTS” tab, click AOR

  4. Under “SELECT A CLUB” select TAMU CREW

  5. Fill out your information and complete the form. Make sure your email is correct!

  6. Wait for a confirmation email. This does not mean you’ve been approved yet!

  7. In 24-48 hours, you should receive an email either approving or denying you AOR

  8. If approved, no further action is needed.

  9. If denied, fill out the form again and fix the previous mistakes.

If you are coming to a Learn to Row, make sure you bring $5 for entry to the lake or grab a ride with a current member (which can be arranged at informationals). Wear tight fitting clothes, bring water and sunscreen. We can’t wait to see you there!
